I) General Resolutions

  1. The Organizer of the 4th International Workshop on Functional Nanostructured Materials (FuNaM-4) (hereafter called ‘Workshop/Conference’) is the Faculty of Chemistry Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.

  2. The Conference will be held on 26–29.09.2023 at the Faculty of Chemistry Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Gronostajowa 2, 30 - 387 Krakow, Poland).

  3. The Organizers have exclusive rights to the name and graphical sign of the Workshop.

  4. The Workshop is dedicated to scientists at each career step. However, it will be especially dedicated for young researchers, i.e., students and PhD students.

II) Registration

  1. Only correctly  via online form will be considered as participants of the Workshop.

  2. Registration form will be available from 1st December 2022 via the Workshop website: http://www.funam.confer.uj.edu.pl

  3. Registration will be open for both scientists and representatives of sponsors.

  4. All personal data is protected according to law. The Participants of the Workshop are obliged to sign an agreement for personal processing information strictly for registration purposes following the regulation regarding data protection. All personal details provided by the Participants will be administrated by the Faculty of Chemistry Jagiellonian University in Krakow (Gronostajowa 2, 30 - 387 Krakow, Poland). 

  5. Data will be processed in order to carry out the Conference. All details can be accessed and corrected by the Participant.

  6. The registration is completed after sending at least one abstract (no more than three) and filling out the registration form. Abstract template is available on the Workshop’s website.

III) Fee payment

  1. The abstract submission will be open from 1st December 2022 till 31st May 2023.

  2. The conference fee depends on the date of registration:

    1. from 15th June 2023 to 15th July 2023 – early registration with lower conference fee (student/PhD student 450 PLN/100 EUR; academic 900 PLN/200 EUR).

    2. from 16th July 2023 to 15th September 2023 – registration with full conference fee (student/PhD student 700 PLN/150 EUR; academic 1150 PLN/250 EUR).

  3. The conference fee provides full participation in lectures, workshops, coffee breaks, lunches and includes all conference materials.

  4. The organizers do not provide accommodation and transport.

  5. In case of Participant's absence, fee payment would not be reimbursed.

  6. The fee will be reduced if the conference form chances into an online version. In such cases, the reimbursement for the early payments will be provided.

IV) Participation in conference

  1. A maximum of three abstracts can be sent by each Participant (either one accepted oral and two poster presentation or three poster presentations). Every participant pays only one fee for all presentations.

  2. There are two types of possible participation in the conference:

    1. Oral presenter – there is a possibility to give only one oral presentation. The participant needs to submit an abstract for oral presentation, receive confirmation for the oral presentation, and pay the registration fee.

    2. Poster presenter – there is a possibility to have maximum three poster presentations. The participant needs submit abstract/abstracts for poster presentation, receive confirmation, and pay the registration fee.

  3. The Scientific Committee will select oral presentations from the submitted abstracts. The information about acceptance will be sent individually to each Participant no later than 15th June 2023.

  4. All abstracts of poster presentations will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The information about acceptance will be sent individually to each Participant no later than 15th June 2023.

  5. Competition for the best poster presentation will be carried out during the Workshop.

  6. The Scientific Committee will award selected posters. Awards will be given only to those Participants who will be present during the Closing Ceremony.

  7. Every Participant will receive a certificate of attendance in the Workshop.

V) Final Regulations

  1. The Organizers reserve the exclusive right to make changes in the Regulations. In case of any changes, Participants will be informed by e-mail message.

  2. The Regulations are available on the Conference website.

  3. The Organizers reserve the right to change the form of, suspend, interrupt, prolong or cancel the event, in particular due to fortuitous events/force majeure. In such case the participants will be immediately informed. Should an event be cancelled as a result of force majeure, the conference fees will be refunded in full.

  4. The Organizers are not responsible for any difficulties or impossibility of holding the Conference, owing to circumstances beyond their control.

  5. The Participants are fully responsible for eventual damage they may have caused in the Conference area.

  6. In any case not regulated by hereby Regulations, the Polish law should be applied.
